The Chronicles of St.Michael – September Mid October 2013 Report

By Michael Amakor

Back in September, Floyd Mayweather defeated Saul Canelo Alvarez in such dominant fashion leaving no doubt to the world that he is best boxer on the planet, you might not like his trash talking but you have to recognize that he is an outstanding boxer. In this fight he also bested the PPV record previously set in his fight vs.Oscar De La Hoya clarifying why his moniker is “Money”

Last night Russian Provodnikov forced Alvarado’s corner to throw in the towel after 10 violent rounds to win the wbo jr.welterweight belt.

A few weeks ago Danny Garcia Shocked the boxing world by thoroughly outhustling power punching Lucas Mattyssee to unify the WBA & WBC light welterweight titles.

In October We saw the return of HBO legendary nights after about a decade with the premiere of the memorable trilogical fight of the year wars between the late Arturo Gatti and Mickey Ward taking us down memory lane.

It would not be boxing if we did not have three blind mice score the Brian Vera vs Chavez and mayweather fights so badly infuriating boxing fans.

Altogether, there are just too many events and fights to record you have to agree boxing is in its golden era once again. You need to visit our fight schedule page to realize that both showtime and hbo are in a battle for the hearts of boxing fans this fall with the quality of fights the have scheduled on the horizon.

So my advice is to stock up your junk food supplies each weekend so you don’t miss these exciting scheduled fights which will close out 2013 with a bang. Stay tuned.
