Big Six Entertainment jammed the house at the Royale Nightclub in Boston, Massachusetts. 7 bouts, 4 went the distance, 3 were with TKO/KO’s. Michael McLaughlin from Ireland fought an easy 2 rounds out of 4 against Paulo Souza a local from Somerville, Massachusetts. McLaughlin continuously went to the head while shaking his opponent at times. On 3 separate occasions the ref gave the count to Souza and then the final count during round 2 when a left stunned his opponent, the ref jumped in and called a halt to the action at 1:51. Winner McLaughlin by TKO.

McLaughlin increased his record to 7-1-1 and Paulo Souza decreased his record to 0-2.

Michael McLaughlin 6-1-1, 3 KO’s vs. Anthony Chase 11-2, 4 KO’s

The undercard:

Cruiserweights Chris Traietti of Quincy, Mass. vs. Bryan Dailey of Hopkins, Missouri was scheduled for 8 but it only went 1 round. Both Traietti and Dailey were aggressive at the opening bell. Dailey tried to find an opening with Traietti but it was all over at 1:43 with a short left hook to the body on Dailey. The ref ends up stopping the bout and Traietti gets the KO victory. Traietti a local fan favorite increased his record to 16-3, 12 Ko’s and Dailey drops his record to 5-9-0.

Vinnie “The American Hitman” Carita vs. Tyrone Smith. What an exciting match up. Both fighters came to fight. Carita’s fans cheered on their fighter. There was a monstrous height difference between the 2 fighters. Smith, being the taller of the two. The judges scored the bout 39-37 for Smith; 39-37 for Carita and 38-38. Therefore a draw. I scored it the 1st/2nd round for Carita. Smith took the beginning of the 3rd and Carita took the end. The 4th Smith all the way.

Donnie “Big Nasty” Palmer vs. Antonio Assermelly. It only took one round for the “Big Nasty” to finish off Assermelly. At one point both fighters were continuously just circling each other while making me dizzy. After 1:49 Palmer ended the bout in round 1 with a left/right hook combo. Winner Palmer.

Saul Almedia vs. Paul Gonsalves. Gonsalves dominated the bout. After 4 rounds the judges scored it 39-37; 40-36 and 40-36. Winner Gonsalves by UD.

Robert Hunt vs. Gerald Schifone. Schifone continuously landed left/right hooks on Hunt. After 4 rounds all 3 judges scored the bout 40-36. Winner Schifone by UD.

Abdeltif Khnat vs. Rodrigo Almeida. Khnat started off his pro debut with a loss to Almedia. Almedia was just busier. At one time in the bout even the ref had a slip to the canvas. All 3 judges scored the bout 39-37 with Almeida winning by UD.
