Ghana’s Patrick Allotey is pledging victory over Burkina Faso’s Patrice Sou Toke when the duo face off in the main bout of the ‘Put up or Shut up’ boxing extravaganza billed for the Lebanon House in the heart of Accra on Boxing Day December 26.

At stake is the vacant WBC Welterweight International silver title with the three judges from Ghana, Nigeria and Burkina Faso to give both boxers and even field. Unbeaten Allotey (19-0, 15 KOs) admits that the fight against Sou Toke, also unbeaten (14-0, 7 KOs), is an open contest which anyone can win. But the Ghanaian is adamant he will claim victory to enhance his world title ambitions.

He told Ghana based newspaper ALL SPORTS:

“This is the most important fight of my career, I’ve done all the hard work in training so I expect to win no matter how tough the opponent is. So I’m calling all my fans in Chorkor and all over Ghana to come and cheer me with their support. I am not promising a knockout but if it comes, good.”

Patrick Allotey is also grateful for the continued support of his management team. “I thank my manager Freddy Annan and I’m also most grateful to my co-manager Kwabena Amaning for all their support. Without them, I won’t be where I am now. I promise to become world champion for them,” Patrick Allotey said

Allotey against Sou Toke is one of eight bouts put together by Landmark Promotions on the ‘Put up or Shut up’ bill to whet the appetite of boxing fans in Accra on Boxing Day. World title chasing prospects Maxwell Awuku, Rafael Mensah, George Ashie and Kwahu Mike Tyson Emmanuel Danso are some of the boxers also fighting to thrill fans at Christmas.
