February 2013 Editorial

The last week of February has been very busy indeed. We just saw k9 boundrage lose to ishe smith and with it his IBF junior middleweight belt. Ishe smith as usual could not control his emotions and let them pour out right there in the ring drawing mixed reactions from all viewers including l.l.cool j. We saw two undefeated heavyweights Malik Scott and gravkov fight to a draw to remain undefeated in yet another heavyweight scoring controversy. On FNF ibf junior welterweight champion Lamont peterson made a triumphant return to the ring by stopping former champion Kendall holt in the 9th round in the nations capital. On the same night across the pond in Annapolis, Michael Amakor was on hand to witness the naval academy’s 72nd annual brigade boxing championship, so check out his report “Boxing from Annapolis” in the slide show, and to you professional boxers out there know that your art form is mandatory for navy midshipmen as part of their physical training program which basically says all there can be said about boxing, so, Keep Boxing!
