USA vs. Ireland – Amateur Fights

Who doesn’t enjoy some competition between USA and Ireland?   I was excited to see the competition from overseas. The John Boyle O’Reilly Club, 33 Progress Avenue, Springfield, MA 01104 held “Irish Night at the Fights”.

The card held 12 amateur bouts and the results are as follows:

Darwin Raina of Beast Elite Boxing vs. Richie Hogan of Peter Welch’s Boxing. Winner Raina by Decision.

Joseph Mejias of Mason Square Boxing vs. Tom Maughan of Avona Boxing, Dublin, Ireland. Winner by Split Decision Maughan. Judges scored the bout 29-28 – Mejias; 29-28 – Maughan 2x. Maughan nose was bloody.

Joneil Cotto of Beast Elite Boxing vs. Francis Hogan of Peter Welch’s Boxing. Winner Cotto by Decision.

Luis Rosario of Beast Elite Boxing vs. John Maughan of Westside Boxing, Dublin, Ireland. Winner Maughan by Decision.

William Foster of Boxing in Faith vs. George Bates of St. Mary’s Boxing, Dublin, Ireland. Winner by Split Decision. Judges scored the bout 29-28-Foster; 29-28 2x for Bates.

Matt Kligerman of Mt. Vernon Boxing Club vs. Davydas Bicevas of St. Saviours, Dublin, Ireland. Winner by Split Decision Kligerman. Judges scored the bout 29-28 Bicevas and 29-28 2x for Kligerman.

Tyler Stuart of Westover Boxing vs. Sean Creagh of Kilnamanagh Boxing, Dublin, Ireland. At 1:34 of round 2 Creagh scores a TKO.

Andy Gonzalez of Camp Get Right vs. Ryan Lyndsey of Dublin Docklands, Dublin, Ireland. Winner Lyndsey by Split Decision. Judges scored the bout 27-28 – Gonzalez; 27-30 – Lyndsey and 29-28 –Lyndsey.

Wilfredo Pagan of Uptown Boxing vs. Sean Hunt of Palmerstown Boxing, Dublin, Ireland. Hunt wins by Split Decision. Judges scored the bout 27-30 – Pagan; 27-29 – Hunt 29-28 – Hunt.

Miguel Teo of Bancroft Boxing vs. James John Clarke of Kilnamanagh, Dublin, Ireland. Teo wins by Split Decision. Judges scored the bout28-29 Teo; 29-28 – Clarke and 30-27 – Teo.

Adam Paolino of BP Boxing vs. Emmet Brennan of Corinthians Boxing, Dublin, Ireland. Winner Brennan by UD. Judges scored the bout 29-28 3x.

Kendrick Ball, Jr. of Camp Get Right vs. Georffrey Kavanagh of Corinthians Boxing, Dublin, Ireland. Winner Kavanagh by Split Decision. 27-30 – Kavanagh; 29-28 – Ball and 29-28-Kavanagh.
