Santos Gets the TKO Win Over Kinch

MAK_2702 [October 30, 2015 – Ringside by Pattee Mak] Murphys Boxing Presented “Monster Brawl II” at the Memorial Hall in Melrose, Massachusetts. What a great venue for boxing.   The main event didn’t go the scheduled 8 rounds. Santos only need to go 5 rounds to get the TKO victory. Heavyweights Alexis Santos of Lawrence, Ma kept being busy during the bout against Aaron Kinch of Newark, NJ. Santos being the harder of the two body wise also. During round 1 Santos lands a left and drops Kinch. Kinch keeps telling Santos that he isn’t bothered by his punches. Round 2 Santos picking his punches while Kinch is looking for the knockout. Santos continues with left hooks. Kinch continues going to the body.   During round 5 Santos gets the TKO Victory at 2:31.

8 Rounds – Lightweights – Stephen Ormond vs Orlando Vazquez of

Bayamon, PR. During the entire bout Ormond was the busy of the two fighters while digging deep to the body of Vazquez along with combinations. Vazquez was taking the majority of the punches, has a great chin. During round 4 the referee stopped the bout at 2:20 Ormond wins by TKO. I’d like to see more of Ormond.

6 Rounds – Female Super Welterweights – Local female boxer Aleksandra Magdziak Lopes of Marshfield, MA vs Andria Wawro of Philadelphia, PA. Not a busy fight as I hoped it to be. Lopes just needs to sit a tiny bit more on her punches. All three judges scored the bout 60-54. Winner by UD Lopes.

6 Rounds – Jr Middleweights – Greg Vendetti of Stoneham, MA vs   Jordan Rosario of Newark, NJ. During round 2 Vendetti landed excessive amounts of punches on Rosario. Rosario not fighting back and taking too many punches.   Winner by TKO Vendetti at 2:21 of said round.

6 Rounds – Welterweights – Chris Gilbert of Windsor, Vermont vs.   Shakha Moore of Bridgeport, CT. The fight went the distance. Both fighters fought a tough fight. The judges scored the bout 57-57; 59-55; 59-55 all for Shakha Moore.

4 Rounds – Jr Middleweights – Paddy Irwin from Quincy/Athlone, Ireland making his pro debut vs  Theo Desjardin of Providence, RI. During round 2 Irwin went to the body but landed a great right hand dropping Desjardin to the canvas. Irwin gets the victory by TKO at 2:24 when the referee stopped the bout.

4 Rounds – Lightweights Matt Doherty of Salem, MA vs Briam Granado of New Bedford, MA. After 4 rounds of back and forth action the judges scored the bout 40-36; 38-38; 38-38 majority draw.

4 Rounds – Super Middleweights. Rodrigo Almeida of Woburn, Mass. vs vs Godson Noel of Newark, NJ. Noel won by TKO in round 1 at 2:32.
